This is an excellent film/video/campaign, whatever it is, on several levels. Most importantly for the tumblr-world, it looks GORGEOUS - kind of Virgin Suicides meets The O.C. and is addictively soundtracked by latest Swedish indie-popstrel Lune. It also manages to make the very naff clothes of Only look good. So far, so fashion film. What it also does - if you view it here - is combine interactivity and online shopping with the world of the film. If you like the look of something on screen you can pause the film by clicking on clothes and a side bar pops up with the price. You turn the key to start the car, watch a boy get undressed while peering out from behind a tree, and steal a pair of jeans - which you can also randomly win. The second time I watched it I was told at the end that those jeans I grabbed earlier were now mine. I’m totally won over by this. Such a good use of ‘digital’. More please.

I’m researching traditional Afghan clothes for work and I came across this beautifully embroidered dress on The Make Den. It’s from the Pashtun region of Afghanistan from sometime between the 1930s and 1970s. I’d love to find one somewhere.

Sam is going to freak out. Pete, sorry Peter, Doherty’s collection for The Kooples was released three days ago. The languid, ex-junkie, Mossy dating Libertine of our time has created 25 pieces for the French label that specialises in combining a British aesthetic with Parisian flair. The things for women aren’t the best; flouncy blouses and a full length skirt being the worst. All a little reminiscent of Mossy at her boho-chic peak. Hmmm. (You’ll never steal her from Hince Pete, he’s too cool.) There is a rather nice Prince of Wales check blazer with a medal on it though. The menswear is better, all very Pete - the cotton canvas parka is particularly cool. Investigate all for yourself here.

There is a good time coming. Doyle’s pub, Dublin.

Sam and I snaffled these Ray-Bans in an amazing deal House of Fraser were doing a couple of weeks ago - 2 pairs for €199. Considering they’re both normally €160 each it was pretty good. Also - first pair of Clubmasters I’ve found in Dublin in months, I’ve been searching. Glad to see they’ve returned. We’re very pleased with them now that the sun has been shining a lot.

I’ve often heard men complaining that when it comes to fashion, womenswear has all the fun. It’s probably true, but when I see something like Italian company Neronote’s shirts, I wish I could have one too. Every single detail of these beautifully made shirts is customisable. You can create your perfect shirt from the weight and weave of the fabric to the size of every part of the shirt to the positioning of your monogram (essential).

My first attempt is a sort of casual pale blue and white striped shirt with button down colour and grey monogram on the collar, could work messing about on boats of a summer. (Tried to attach an image of it but it’s not working.)
