Fashioning illustrations
I spent Saturday doing something lovely and something that I don’t do enough of - drawing. As part of Dublin Fashion Festival there was a free fashion illustration workshop in the Sip and Stitch Academy. Our teacher for the morning was the lovely Ruth Griffin, who will be giving more of the classes over the next few months. The class was in a big bright room above Om Diva with a great view of all the goings on of Castle Market.

It felt like school - a group of girls around a giant table busily drawing away, though probably a lot quieter. Me getting covered in paint as always. Most of the people in the class were indulging in doing something they love and always felt they wanted to do even though their work might have no connection to drawing or fashion. If you have an untapped yen to draw check the Sip and Stitch Facebook page for details on future classes. It’s a good way to spend a day.
